We’re
recovering from the usual onslaught of Turkey & trimmings pondering
the logic of a country that tramples, fights & battles for items
less than 24 hours after they give thanks for all that they have.....
I spoke about Black Friday and the
slow erosion of a so-called family day by stores that are always trying
to one-up each other last year so I’ll skip that view because little has
changed.
So, the feast was a success, even the
political talk was kept to a minimum which qualifies as more of a
miracle! No-one spent anytime throwing up the next day either so all
went well.
Ryan is currently enthused by the idea
of T-Rex, when he’s throwing a tantrum - often instigated by his dad
merely looking at him - a showing on YouTube of Walking with Dinosaurs
quickly calms him down. What’s somewhat entertaining is to see him
stalking around as a T-Rex would, he even pulls his arms back and sticks
his fingers out just as he imagines the dinosaur did.
He’s getting more excited about the
prospect of Santa coming to visit, he needs to be reminded that Santa is
always watching him and bad boys don’t get presents. That works for a
minute or so until his mind drifts off to the next scene of impending
doom.
Ryan is exceptionally creative though,
right now I’m looking at 4 colorful lego “Minecraft Skeletons”
alongside a lego “T-Rex” all created by him with no prompting from us.
Hopefully he can keep that interest and desire to make things for many
years.
A quick report this time, we’ll do our best to get 1 more in before Christmas.
Have fun,
J,J & R.
