Big Brother

Here’s a nice little blog update for everyone to enjoy.

Not going to talk about the water heater that caused the flood of Ryan’s room twice in the past 2 weeks, nor the massive lack of a winter here.

Nope, today’s topic is all about Ryan becoming a big brother.... That’s right, evil Jessica has stolen my spirit again and the devils spawn is due to explode into the world on August 30th.

So far, all is well though we have had a few little hiccups along the way.  You know Jessica doesn’t do anything without drama, so this time she decided to develop a placenta previa (placenta is too low and is over the cervix - can cause severe bleeding in the worst case).  This is potentially a serious issue if it occurs in late-term.  Jessica decided to be extremely rare and have this in the 1st trimester.  Fortunately if you’re going to get it, get it early, scans have shown that things are progressing well and this shouldn’t become an issue throughout the pregnancy.

Due to this and other circumstances we kept our news to ourselves until things have calmed down and all indications were positive for a good outcome.

So, how will Ryan adapt in 6 months time? Will he speak before Baby Boo 2 does? Will he show how to stalk Poof Cat?  Or just share his boosnacks?  What about the yPad? 

Anyway, we’re really excited and happy to be adding to our family, we know Ryan will be the best big brother possible!

Plenty of questions, plenty of discussions over names (especially if it’s a boy!) to come.  Expect more pics & blog updates as we progress.

PS: Yes, we will be finding out the sex, 20 weeks in, not falling for that trick again! Yes we will know a name before birth - you’ll just have to wait for it. No, it will not be named Nigel, or Florence, not even some stupid name like Apple or River.  Expect sensible... ish!
