With the
latest update I had to decide what to include, should I mention the walk
down Reston Town Center for a photo shoot - some teaser snaps are
already available - or should I continue with how Ryan is developing.
Well whilst the photo shoot was fun,
it’ll be better to talk more about that once all the photos are ready
for upload so we’ll bring you all up to speed with how Ryan is learning
new tricks.
He’s begun to throw “Boo-strops” when
he doesn’t get his way, often accompanied by clenched fists waving
furiously. Of course once he realises that Dad is just laughing when he
does that, he moves on to terrorising the cats once again. Many times
he’s looked at us with a “What?” expression with arms wide as if making
his point clear (see photo above).
Ryan is learning all about trash,
helpfully putting things in the bin when we’re finished with it, and
sometimes when we’re not. Items have had to be rescued, though we
suspect Mom’s brush may not have been lucky. He’s also putting clothes
in the washing hamper, which Mommy thinks excuses her for leaving them
on the floor!!!!! This is met with Ryan awarding himself a round of
applause.... clearly he’s got no ego........
Now Ryan is totally mobile he’s
demanding going for walks often, he’ll go and point at his stroller and
then grab his shoes. This is a fun game for him, as he gets to push the
stroller for a while before lying back and enjoying the ride as Dad
pushes him round the rest of the journey.
Possibly the funniest new trick is his
fearsome ‘growl’. Ryan has learnt to do this almost on demand, a nice
throaty roar with clenched fists, it’s enough to scare Poof back under
the bed!
As well as stacking doughnuts,
beginning to understand the concept of reading, he’s also learning to
feed himself. Plenty of messes ahead no doubt!
Jessica is on deck and due up with some good news from next week hopefully.
