Thanksgiving & Bridges

Well unlike the American Boys Netball league, Jessica is still at loggerheads with the National Blogger Association so here’s James with the latest Boo News!

Sorry if you’ve seen the photo above before, Jessica is obsessed with her neo-pet - don’t bother googling it, it’s as relevant today as playing snake on your mobile.  It was big in 2003 though!  Anyway, there’s still no photos up on the site beyond September, we assure you that soon enough she’ll be bored so much she’ll return to duties!

So we’ve gone beyond thanksgiving, the US version of driving silly distances to make polite conversation & eat turkey.  We were no different, having munched away on a very nice slab of bird, I went to bed at 4.30pm, not for any good reason other than to ensure I had some energy for working 11.30pm..... yeah, I had to work Black Friday (how is that term not causing politically correct fools to foam at the mouth???). Anyway, my 12 hour shift went fine and we didn’t need pepper spray, police or riot batons!  For those who don’t know Black Friday is where all the stores show you how much they rip you off 364 days of the year by discounting up to 70% & still make a decent profit.

After that we took a road trip to a little place called Kent Island where we stayed for the weekend, to get there we had to womble across the Chesapeake Bridge, this is 4 miles or so, and on our way there Jessica had to hang on tight - she did not enjoy it at all.  We managed to do a little tour over our 48 hours there, very nice & quiet and a good rest from reality. Thanks to Jen for Poof-sitting!

We went back over the bridge on Saturday and walked round Annapolis, parking was cheap and the tour bus was free... result!  Ryan had fun meeting lots of dogs, he even made very good friends with a Labrador puppy, and got a face-wash into the bargain!  As we were close we decided to get up early on Sunday and headed to the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Ryan had fun pointing out the fish, and applauding the dolphin show.

Less than 4 weeks till Christmas, and barely 3 weeks till we get to enjoy (endure?) Ryan on an airplane!  Begin the warnings now!
