Dear Nathan,
It’s been a year since we lost you and
though we haven’t talked here about you much recently we want you to
know that you’re never far from our thoughts and today especially is a
hard & sad day.
I think Ryan would have enjoyed
teaching you how to “Boosterize” and cause havoc, of course given his
current level of behavior he’d most enjoy blaming the spills, smells and
sniffles on you.
Overall though I think he’d be very
protective & loving of his little brother, give him some more time
and we’ll make sure he’s part of this day and he understands why we’re
both a little more clingy on days like this.
Life is hard at times and I have no
idea what challenges you could have faced had things turned out
differently, but to us you would have been a wonderful little boy and a
great addition to our little family
We’re sorry that we never got to see
you smile, nor do all of the milestones that Ryan ticked off. We had
lots of hopes & dreams for you which of course will never happen.
I believe you were a little fighter
though, no matter what got thrown at you I am positive you would have
done all you could to overcome it.
Baby Bear & Baby Bear 2 sit
together watching over you, and Ryan often gives your butterfly a kiss,
we do our best to keep your area clean - though there is photographic
evidence of Poof Cat paying you a visit!
Our life was never going to be the
same once we knew about your arrival, we would never have guessed you’d
never come home. We can’t change it, but we would do anything to have
the chance to. Maybe one day in the future we’ll be asking you to keep
another brother or sister safe and allow them to meet Ryan.
Regardless of that, I want you to know you’re always in our heart and our family. We miss you.
Love & hugs always.
