Ryan has been a busy boy recently, here’s a quick recap of what he’s been up to.
Having no swimming class over Easter
meant a good lie in and no freezing in a pool which proved popular,
however his attraction to water was sated as he proved by using the cats
water filter as a paddling pool, shower & drinking fountain.
This week was particularly busy as
Ryan got to meet Colin, Colin came bearing gifts from the UK so was
warmly greeted by all except Poof Cat who ran off & hid under the
bed. This gave Ryan a reason to be at IAD on Thursday where he spent
most of the time flirting with any women who looked his way, he
continued this at Sweetwater Tavern in the evening where he managed to
munch his way through much of Mom’s Salmon & Mash. Yum!
On Friday night we took a trip to
Nationals Park to see the Nats vs SF, it was unbelievably chilly due to
the wind coming across the stadium straight into us, we managed to last 8
innings and were pleased that the Nats won 3-0. We did have to
purchase some nice sweaters & a big beanie hat for Ryan.
Saturday got off to a bad start as the
prospect of returning to a cold pool caused Ryan to vomit just as we
were about to leave. Lucky Daddy caught most of it.....
In the afternoon it was off to see Jim
& Kim’s wedding, Ryan managed to make plenty of friends in the
church nursery and even managed to share all the toys he was playing
with. After a drive up to Bluemont Vineyards, he behaved very well
during the reception with the notable contribution during the Bride’s
Father’s speech being quickly hushed by an insertion of a bottle to
drink from!
Overall it was a long day for us all,
but Ryan was a true star. Sunday was a quiet day, but it was time to
kick Colin off to NY and hope that we get to meet up again soon,
hopefully with a trip to the UK to see more of my friends & family.
Having such excitement was clearly too much for him as on Monday he was up at 4.30...... excellent... NOT!
Ryan still has just the 4 teeth,
though he’s so close to many more popping through. Walking is now a
regular occurrence, in fact he prefers that to crawling. Hopefully soon
we’ll have all the April photos up, and expect many more from his party
next week.
