The Moon, Planes & Waving

Originally posted August 17, 2011
More progress to report upon.  Ryan has taken to demanding extra walks during the day, he does this by running & pointing at his stroller, getting excited when he sees me preparing a drink for him and sliding his shoes on.
When he’s out, he’s loving seeing planes fly by, he’s even recognizing the sound now and looks for them... when he sees a plane his 1st instinct is to point, then try and grab it.
Today though he saw the moon, very clear in a nice blue sky.... it wasn’t moving, so it was easier to grab... or so he thought!

Ryan is becoming more familiar with the concept of waving now, he has slightly different waves for hello (needs work as it often turns into a thumbs up) but he’s good at the goodbyes.

Still no words..... but nothing to concern ourselves over just yet, his understanding of objects and actions continues to improve and that’s the defining thing.  Teeth are almost entirely out now, only 1 or 2 spaces still to be filled. So far, so good with all the teething.

Ryan went for his 2nd official haircut last week, this wasn’t quite as pleasant as the 1st time, not sure why, it was very difficult to get a good job done, even though he was sat on my lap during it.  He did wave goodbye though!

The picture above is from a new collection, we’ll be adding them to the website in due course, the others from his street womble in Reston are also expected this week.
